How two different cultures could connect through the fashion Industry? When women in middle east have to cover themselves, a lot of Colombian girls show every part of their bodies… Most of Colombians are well known because are too happy and passionate by other culture standards…. How are people from Qatar?
Culture and fashion goes beyond my appreciations. Culture changes, trends come and go and now the world is open to see more, to explore and that is the message #Colombiamoda2020 #beonline is unveiling in our screens. Now we have understood that the color, the race, the religion or the country cannot have barriers to come together.

Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA) is a no profit organization, created in 2018, that aims to provide financial and business support as well as international recognition to the dynamic fashion designers in the MENA region, Middle East and Noth Africa .
It was launched under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser, as Honorary Chair and the co-chair is Sheikha al Massaya, mother and sister of the current Emir of Qatar, they welcome the alliance and Tania Fares, co-chair and, said in a video for the press conference: “This collaboration is such a great opportunity for two worlds to come together it gives young designers and creatives from Colombia and the MENA region the chance, not to only work closely together but to exchange ideas and learn from each other”
There was an approach between the first lady of Colombia Maria Juliana Ruíz and FTA, and from those meetings the alliance UNIQUE was complete. “FTA identify a lot of alignment between the national program of the Colombian government to support of what they call the orange economies, to support the creative industries an obviously fashion and design is one of them. Here in Qatar they value a lot the talent and the creativity that is found not only in Colombia but in the entire region, but since it was a national program, by the Colombian government to promote this orange economies we thought that this alliance will be the perfect bridge between the middle east of the Arabe world and Latin-American. The new talents need visibility and exposure they will be able to find here in Qatar and around the region. It is an opportunity for them to increase their name to become a global players and to benefit from the experience in this market” explained Kassem Ajineh Polanco, Senior advisor for Fashion Trust Arabia.
Johana Ortiz, a colombian well known designer in the arabic world, and judge of the next FTA award said: “It is very significant all this support for our industry and I would like to take the opportunity that FTA believes in the colombian talent, it is very significant”
